Why Licensing My VA Business is a Game Changer for Therapists and VAs
Running a private practice as a therapist can be exhausting. You're constantly juggling appointments, client records, invoicing, and more. Meanwhile, Virtual Assistants (VAs) who want to work with therapists may feel daunted by the prospect of setting up business systems effectively. That's where my journey of licensing my VA business comes to the rescue.
Let me take you back to 2016 when I began helping a friend with her invoicing in her new private practice. Before I knew it, word spread, and I was booked with more therapists needing the same kind of help. Fast forward to today, and I’ve decided to license my VA business, enabling more VAs to support therapists just like I do.
Licensing essentially means I'm sharing my secret sauce, my tried and tested systems and processes, with other VAs so they can confidently work with therapists. This isn't just about learning; it's about building a reliable support network for therapists and empowering VAs with the right skills.
How Does Licensing Work?
Licensing, unlike franchising, allows me to package my expertise as a training program. I've created a comprehensive framework to train VAs on becoming efficient partners for therapists in private practice, offering them all my systems, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This isn’t just a course where I give people videos and assume they have watched them; they will need to do an assessment to prove to me that they are competent in what I've taught them, and that they can work with therapists in private practice the way that I have trained them. Only then they will be certified, becoming what I call 'Virtually Irreplaceable Partners' (VIPs).
Once licensed, these VAs won’t trade under my business name. They are owners of their own business and self employed, but they receive ongoing support, marketing assistance, and become part of a network of professionals who can seamlessly step in if needed. This means the therapist and VA relationship remains direct and personal, with the satisfaction of knowing they have someone trained to my standards.

How it helps you!
For therapists, this means getting access to a directory of top-notch VAs who are ready to jump in and keep your practice running smoothly. No more stress about administrative chaos or finding someone capable to take over. In the rare case a VA needs to step away, my system makes it easy for another to pick up right where things left off, ensuring little to no disruption.
For VAs, this is a golden opportunity to step into the industry with all the guidance and resources needed to thrive. You’ll learn how to handle proposals, make a stellar impression during discovery calls, and position yourself as an expert in the field. I’m giving you a business in a box.

Let’s Bridge the Gap
My mission is straightforward. My ultimate goal is to connect 100 therapists with reliable, expert VAs, creating reliable partnerships that ease the burdens of running a practice. Encouraging the VAs I train to see themselves as experts in their field and for therapists to have confidence that is what they are getting when they hire a VIP VA.
Licensing lets me do that on a grander scale without diluting the personal touch I value so much.
The Road Ahead
Licensing isn’t just a shift for my business, but a way to create an environment where therapists and VAs can focus on what they love most.
