Hi, I’m Kim a Virtual Assistant based in Hertfordshire. I have spent the majority of my career working in the Logistics sector. This is both fast paced and unpredictable, two things I love! I started working as a customer service clerk, booking in deliveries and within 9 years had worked my way up to Transport & Warehouse Operations Manager of our Heathrow site. There were many different positions in between all enabling me to acquire new skill sets and further develop those skills which I already had. Working in logistics you don’t ever really have a single role at any one time. This drove me to be proactive, incredibly flexible and have self-motivation. In short, this experience over the 13 years of my working career set me up with the skills to successfully manage and run my own business! One thing all my roles had in common is that I was always the PA for whoever my manager was at the time. I became a valuable asset to the overall success of the business, and I don’t think it was just because of my magnificent Excel skills 😉
My niche (or superpower) is to be able to look at processes or workflows and be able to streamline them to work more efficiently saving both time and money. If there’s a system that can be put in place or a quicker way of doing something, I will find it. I can learn and adapt to new systems extremely quickly with very little instruction required which is perfect when you need to offload work but don’t have a lot of time for additional training.
I am incredibly well organised and can help with organisation within your business. Whether that be looking at your processes and procedures, suggesting and implementing new systems, moving your practice online or an entire business evaluation.
I took a break from working in 2014 when I had my son, 6 years later he has a little sister and I have been working as a Virtual Assistant for the past 4 years. I love my job, I love the flexibility, I love working with an array of clients on multiple projects at any one time. I achieve my job satisfaction by knowing I am able to give my clients complete peace of mind and allow them the freedom to nurture their own business and have a better work/life balance.
